Breanne Tidemann

Research Scientist, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Breanne Tidemann grew up on a grain farm in west-central Saskatchewan. She has a degree in biological sciences from the University of Alberta and then saw the light and did an agriculture M.Sc. in weed science, also at the University of Alberta. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in weed science through the University of Alberta.


Breanne has been working as a research scientist in agronomy and weed science with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada since May 2016. Breanne is involved in a number of projects looking at ways to mitigate herbicide-resistant weed impacts in Western Canada, including investigations into ecological weed management, harvest weed seed control and the Harrington Seed Destructor.
